Band Booster Information

Article I — Name:

The name of this club shall be Glenpool Band Boosters Club.

Article II — Purpose:

The purpose of this club shall be:

1. The improvement and helpfulness to our band and band members.

2. Parents shall sign up as sponsors for trips – as long as vacancy permits. In the event, that a sponsor cannot attend trips they have signed for, it will be the responsibility of the parent to find a replacement and contact the Vice-President.

Article III — Membership:

1. Membership shall be open to all men and women interested in the development of the band program.

2. A yearly membership fee of $10.00 per adult shall be paid by date specified at the beginning of each school year. $20.00 membership fee will include a Band Booster shirt.

Article IV — Officers and their duties:

1. Officers shall be limited to band parents only.

2. Elections shall be held by secret ballot.

3. President will preside at all meetings and act as ex-officio member of all committees.

4. The Vice-President shall preside during the absence of the President and shall perform the duties of the President. He or she shall also see to it that there are an adequate number of parents to ride the bus on all band trips.

5. It shall be the duty of the Secretary/Treasurer to keep all minutes and records of all meetings, and monies raised and expenditures.

6. The election of officers shall be done during the first meeting of the school year.

7. There will be an “Officer at Large”, who will be a former officer of the previous year and whose function will be to advise the incoming executive board as the need arises.

Article V — Meetings:

All meetings of the Band Boosters shall be held in the band room on the date to be set at the beginning of each school year. Meetings for the school year will be scheduled at the first meeting.

Article VI — Amendments:

These by-laws may be amended at any meeting by a majority vote of those present, provided a two week notice of such proposed amendment is given to the Band Boosters.

Article VII — Fund-raising:

The Glenpool Band Booster Club maintain a separate account from the school band fund All money deposited is used for the benefit of the band program. Money spent up to $300.00 could be approved by two officers. Any amount over $300.00 would be voted on and passed by a two-thirds majority of the voting membership present at the meeting. All checks would require signature of no less than two officers.
